We live in a society beaten down for generations by corruption — corruption that can only come from divorcing consequences from one’s own actions. Corrupt people entrench themselves in powerful positions so justice never reaches them, shielded by infinite layers of bureaucracy that cost money and time most people don’t have.
The American people will see no justice in a courthouse while corrupt officials run it. If we are to defeat the forces of Evil, it won’t be in the courthouse. It will be on the street.
